Out for my afternoon walk. The light can be remarkably flat on a bright winter's day, and there is no color to speak of. But the contrasts are lovely, if you take your time and look for them.

Thanks. It is, indeed. The fine variations of light you can so easily see tend to blend into the uniform brightness.

the exposure on this one is much better and we can see those contrasts. Just doesn't get that bright in winter even on a cloudless day *sigh*
