Tuesday evening I was down at Washington Square Park for Occupy Rochester's May Day events. I ate their pizza, dropped some money in the kitty, and shot two rolls of Portra 400.

I'm an old GI. I flew helicopters for Uncle Sam's Army way back when. We didn't have anyone shooting at us, but the mountains and glaciers will kill you just as dead. I found the masked statue wonderfully appropriate, and not in the least disrespectful, at least not toward those who answered the call to arms. I expect it was intended to be more than a little disrespectful toward those who have been all too eager to send our young men (and now women) off to fight and die for such lofty goals as revenge and nationalistic pride.

OWS knows the answer. It's wall street. Government is just their puppet. Wall street needs to be dealt with. Screw voting Democrat or Republican. Both of them are owned by the wall street bankers and will continue to work as hard as they can for the finance industry. And, every knows that war is the greatest financial wealth transfer mechanism ever invented by mankind. So, can you guess what you're going to get for the next four years? The answer to this dilemma is already known. For example, if you declare war on the earth, you will end up declaring war against each other. If you make peace with the earth, you will end up making peace with each other. There's lots of jobs in a peace economy. But, don't expect the reptiles in the international banking cartel to give up their siphoning mechanism on their own.

This series are all very good shots.

I keep thinking about "Animal Farm" these days; and about how "all animals are equal" became amended to "all animals are equal, but some are more equal than others"; and about the quiet fiddling with those first 10 amendments to our constitution.
