So you scanned your negative with the Epson? Interesting...

I've been looking for an effective way of scanning 35mm slides. Most flatbed scanners offer inadequate resolution for this. If my calculations are correct, however, this one should be satisfactory. This image certainly looks good. I've also been thinking about getting a negative scanner adapter for my camera, but the ones I've seen have pretty bad reviews.

I once had an Exakta SLR camera that used 120 film. [link] is a photograph of a print taken with it. That's been my preferred method for digitizing old prints, but if they have a glossy finish reflections are a big problem.

I scanned this at 2400 dpi. On a 6x6 I know I can get 3200. The limitation appears to be buffer size; the larger the negative the smaller the max resolution. But if I were needing to scan large format negatives I would have gotten one of the V500's big brothers.

It has done pretty well scanning 8x10 prints, too. If you look in my Welta Weltur gallery you will see some of those. Looks for the images with white borders.

So, yes, I would recommend it highly, especially at the very moderate cost.
