2013-264 Waiting for Charlie

Before the September meeting of the Genesee Valley Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club. Charlie Helman, long-time chair of the waterways group, was to be inducted into the High Summit Honor Society in recognition of his service to the chapter. The paddlers passed the word for folks to bring their paddles so we could give Charlie a paddle arch to walk through afterward. I was doing the presentation (Charlie did mine a couple years ago) so my paddle was stashed next to the stage.
