2013-277 Irondequoit Creek by pearwood 2013-277 Irondequoit Creek by pearwood
My neighbor had a gem of a wooden kayak that he was planning to put on Craigslist. I spared him the trouble. Sunday afternoon I got it out on Irondequoit Creek. I finished up the roll of Kodak 400 TriX I had loaded in the Minolta Weathermatic.

It was good to be back out on the water. I've been out in the canoe a few times this summer but this was my first time out in a kayak in about three years. It's a fine craft. The Greenland paddle moved it along quite nicely.

I had the creek largely to myself on the way back.

Yes, precisely.  But as my friend *Onlynude suggested, turn it on end for a completely different view.  Appearances are such ephemeral things.

Gorgeous shot. I had to go to your blog before this would show up here. Can't tell whether the issue is my comp or dA. *sigh*

Just as much as a muddy puppy covered in ticks and burrs.
