Thanks. The autofocus on that lens has been dead ever since *RobertTryon dropped it or jammed it or something. I discovered it with the UV filter shattered. (I've used UV filters ever since the guy at the camera shop showed be a very expensive very broken lens. "Cheap insurance," said he.)
