Things continue to progress on the housing front. We spent yesterday and today packing boxes. The family room is looking rather like a warehouse.
We had the engineering inspection Tuesday and the pest inspection Thursday. There's indication of past termite activity, but it's an area known for termites, so no surprise there. It's not terribly difficult to keep them out, but not terribly cheap, either.
I got to meet the neighbors on one side. It's a neighborly sort of place.

The Heidelberg Catechism, published in 1563, remains one of the warmest expressions of the Christian faith ever written. This is how it begins.
What is your only comfort in life and in death?
That I am not my own,
but belong --
body and soul,
in life and in death --
to my faithful Savior Jesus Christ.
He has fully paid for all my sins with his precious blood,
and has set me free from the tyranny of the devil.
He also watches over me in such a way
that not a hair can fall from my head
without the will of my Father in heaven;
in fact, all things must work together for my salvation.
Because I belong to him,
Christ, by his Holy Spirit,
assures me of eternal life
and makes me wholeheartedly will and ready
from now on to live for him.
