What made me think of it was having it pop up in my favorites on my home page.
So much of what gets posted in the Holga domain are a crappy camera being used to take crappy shots. Oh, look, light leaks and weird colors!! This portrait, on the other hand, is all about using a minimalist camera to take a stunning minimalist portrait. The lighting and composition are excellent; they bring us in close to the model. I like the way all I can see of her bust line is the pearls that define the outline.
As Ella Ruth uglybug says, "The lighting is beautiful. I love how the model's pose is so relaxed yet she still commands our attention and appears powerful."
